Hide the drives that you don't want to seen by others in your PC.
Just follow the steps i am going to mention watch it correctly or otherwise you may lost your hard drive forever..................................
Steps involved:-
- Open run Command By Pressing Window+R key from the keyboard.
- Now type gpedit.msc in the box.
- Watch the picture below.
4. Now Click on OK button.
5. After that a window will appear like the below one.
6. Now from the User Configuration menu click on Administrative Template.
7. Then a pop-up will appear in the right pane like below one.
8. Now Double Click on Windows Components after that find Windows Explorer and open it.
9. When you will open it a pop-up will appear like below one.
10. Now if you want to hide any drive in your PC then find Hide these specified drive in My Computer.
11. After that Double Click on it and then a pop-up will appear like below one.
12. Then Click On Enabled Button after that click on Pick one of the following Combination.
13. You will see many options choose the drive you want to hide then click on Apply button then click on OK.
14. And to make PC in the previous state just click on Not Configured option then Click on apply after that OK.
Now this step is to Permanently lock your drive:-
From this step you can permanently lock your hard drive without any password.
Below are the steps:-
Now for doing this trick again do all 9 steps mentioned above and after that do whatever is written here:
- Now find Prevent Access to drives from my Computer then Double Click on it.
- A Pop-up will appear like this.
3. Now Click on Enabled Option after that Click on Pick one of the following combinations.
4. Then Choose the Drive You want to Prevent from being accessed then Click on apply button then press OK.
5. And to make PC in the previous state just click on Not Configured option then Click on apply after that OK.
It's Done All Things is Finished.
